Death's Insane Asylum: Ch 1 by ~Kurai93:iconKurai93:

                                     Death's Insane Asylum

                                         Chapter 1: Deadly Dreams

I had a dream last night. Its been the same for the past month. I've never
really understood it, but it seems so familiar. All I remember from it is a school by
the name of Aevum. I had looked it up after a few days and found that it was a real school on a deserted island somewhere in the Pacific. A private school was all that was there. I transferred there two weeks late of the start of the new semester. I was curious. What was so special about this school that I dreamed about it? - Aaron

It was mid-Fall and there was frost slowly inching up the window in Aaron's dorm room. It was freezing out for some odd reason. He looked outside to see students on their way to breakfast in their heavy coats. Brightly colored leaves would fly passed their feet. Every few minutes he'd see someone in a T-shirt, freezing, because they thought they could beat the cold. He wasn't hungry, though. He'd rather take a look around. He had just got there the night before anyway.
There was a knock at the door. “Mr. Cheever? Are you awake?”
        Aaron turned around. “Come in.”
A young woman walked in with a clipboard. “Have you had breakfast?”
        “Yeah.”, he lied.
“Are you ready for your tour, then, Mr. Cheever? The sooner we finish, the sooner you can make friends.” The woman smiled as she finished her sentence.
“Sure. Let me put on my coat.”
Aaron Cheever. He wasn't really fond of his last name. His parents have a lot of money, which is how they had him transferred to Aevum in the first place. He has already been getting a lot of attention. He hated attention.
Aaron zipped up his coat and walked out the door with the women right behind him. He looked up at her. She had long blond hair and orange eyes. She looked as if she was still in her teens. He starred at her. He wasn't really sure who she was, but he followed her. It seemed that he starred at her too long because she looked down at him. His face turned a deep red. He was hoping that she didn't get the wrong idea. He try to think of something to say.
“Uh!... err..........um....” He just wanted to slap himself in the face. 'That's all you can say, you idiot?! Now she's gonna say something!'
“Oh! That's right!”, she said. “I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Ms. Hannah Keel.” She held out her hand.
Aaron took a breath of relief and shook her hand. “Uh... Nice to meet your acquaintance.”
They went outside and down the pathway. Aaron didn't look around, but he knew that a lot of eyes were locked on him. He walked with a straight face, hands in his pockets, making sure not to make any eye contact. He heard whispering all around him. A particular group caught his eye. They wore black jackets over their uniforms. They gave him chills. He met one of them in the campus office when he got here. His name was Zachary Cooke. He's seventeen and Aaron had already heard rumors that he killed his sister's last boyfriend. He made sure to stay far away from them.
“That's the gates to the sport area, Mr. Cheever. Mr. Cheever?” Hannah noticed that Aaron wasn't paying attention. “Is there something wrong?”
Aaron turned his head. “N-No. I'm fine.” He looked back at the group for a second and notice they were staring at him with disgusted faces. They started walking again. Aaron had a bad feeling.

“Man... I'm hungry.”, Aaron said quietly. “That tour was tiring. Maybe I'll just get some chips from the vending machines.” He walked down the hall of his dorm. He approached his room and notice that the door was wide open. “Didn't I lock the door?” He walked in and turned on the light. “WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN HERE?!”, he screamed. His dorm room was a wreck. Books, papers, and broken glass was scattered all over the floor. His wooden desk was broken into pieces. His bed was tipped over. There was graffiti all over the walls.
“So, your finally back.”, someone spoke behind him.
Aaron turned around to see an all too familiar face. “Zach!”
Zach was leaning up against the door frame. His arms were crossed as he smiled. “What? You only needed to learn your place.” He walked up to Aaron and his smile disappeared as anger took over. “YOU HAVE NO RIGHT TO BE HERE! WE HAVE NO ROOM FOR A RICH KID LIKE YOU! I HATE PEOPLE LIKE YOU!”
Aaron was furious. “WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! YOU DON'T EVEN KNOW ME!”
“Oh, I know. I know exactly who you are!” Zach grabbed Aaron's collar and slammed him against the wall. “YOUR ONE OF THE LITTLE BRATS OF THE CHEEVER FAMILY! THE ONE THAT BOUGHT THE LAND MY FAMILY LIVED ON!”
Aaron remembered that day. It happened five years ago when he was ten. His father said that he was having a mansion built just for them, but houses were in the way, so they had to get rid of them. Aaron didn't really think about it at the time. All he thought about was that he'd be closer to his family living in Colorado instead of Wisconsin.
“HEY! YOU LISTENING TO ME?!” Zach starred at Aaron for a second. “OF COURSE YOUR NOT! YOU RICH PEOPLE ARE ALL THE SAME!”
Aaron snapped out of it when Zach said that. “NO WE'RE NOT!”
“YEAH YOU ARE!” Zach looked around. “YOU HAVE YOUR ROOM ALL TO YOURSELF! YOU CAME HERE ON YOUR FATHER'S PRIVATE HELICOPTER! THINK ABOUT IT!”
“I DIDN'T MAKE THOSE CHOICES!” Aaron tried to loosen Zach's grip, but it was no use.
Zach looked at him with a look that could kill. “YOU COULD HAVE REFUSED!”
Aaron was surprised. Zach was right. He could have. He spaced out again and the next thing he knew he was on the floor getting beat. “AARRGH!” Zach had kicked him in the stomach. Aaron quickly crawled away in pain.
“HEY! GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!”, Zach said as he went after him.
Aaron grabbed a piece of glass off the floor and flipped his body around, breathing deeply. Zach went to throw a punch when Aaron swung the glass at him. Right then, Aaron blacked out.
